The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement

The Mob Museum, officially known as the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is a nonprofit cultural institution located in downtown Las Vegas. It focuses on the history of organized crime in the United States and the law enforcement efforts to combat it. Opened on February 14, 2012, the museum is housed in a restored 1933 neoclassical U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum features four floors of immersive and interactive exhibits that include artifacts, multimedia presentations, and storytelling. Visitors can explore the origins of organized crime, its impact on society, and the law enforcement strategies used to address it. Notable exhibits include a crime lab for hands-on activities, the bullet-riddled wall from the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, and displays on infamous figures like El Chapo Guzmán. The museum also plays a role in the community by offering educational programs and events that promote learning and engagement.
