The conservation of the native Irish honey bee is at the heart of everything we do.

OpenHive is a conservation organisation and community that rears and breeds Irish black honeybees and sells locally-produced Irish honey from apiaries in Dublin, Wicklow and Galway. It keeps bees with as few interventions as possible to support local biodiversity and help the native Irish honeybee re-establish in Ireland’s ecosystem.
