Slate Belt Rising (SBR) is a neighborhood revitalization program that works to increase economic opportunity, reduce poverty, eliminate blight, and improve quality of life in the boroughs of Wind Gap, Pen Argyl, Bangor, and Portland. The program operates as a Neighborhood Partnership Plan/initiative administered through Community Action Lehigh Valley (CALV).
