Riding for the Disabled Association

The Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is a UK-based charity established in 1969 that enhances the lives of disabled individuals through therapeutic horse-related activities. With over 450 centers across the UK and a presence in more than 45 countries, RDA supports over 39,000 participants annually, including those with physical, learning, and sensory disabilities, as well as long-term health conditions and neurodiversity. The organization is backed by 13,700 volunteers, 1,700 qualified coaches, and 2,800 equines. RDA offers a variety of activities such as therapeutic riding, carriage driving, hippotherapy, and equine-assisted programs. These initiatives aim to improve mobility, coordination, and mental well-being, and are suitable for all ages and abilities. RDA is recognized for its contributions to disability sport, having produced top para-equestrians and hosting events like the National RDA Championships. The organization is committed to making a positive impact in the community through its dedicated volunteers and innovative programs.
