Morehouse College

Morehouse College is a private, historically black liberal arts college for men, established in 1867 in Augusta, Georgia. It relocated to Atlanta in 1879 and is recognized for its commitment to developing influential leaders in various fields, including civil rights, business, medicine, and the arts. The college emphasizes intellectual and character development, Black history and culture, and academic rigor, enrolling over 2,200 students from the U.S. and around the world. As a liberal arts institution, Morehouse offers a range of programs designed to empower African American men. It features dual-degree engineering programs in partnership with Georgia Tech, the University of Michigan, and Boston University, along with specialized centers for excellence in science, engineering, mathematics, and international studies. Morehouse has a rich history of producing notable alumni, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Spike Lee, and former Surgeon General David Satcher, contributing significantly to Black leadership and community impact.
