Kurzgesagt

Kurzgesagt is a German animation and design studio founded by Philipp Dettmer. The studio is renowned for its YouTube channel, which features minimalistic animated educational content that covers a wide range of topics, including science, technology, politics, philosophy, and psychology. The channel is narrated in English and has expanded to include language-specific versions in German, Spanish, and several other languages. In addition to its YouTube presence, Kurzgesagt offers services in information design, creating animation films, illustrations, and interactive websites. The studio has also developed a mobile app called the Scale app, launched in 2018, and maintains a presence on TikTok. With a team of around seventy members based in Munich and Berlin, Kurzgesagt has collaborated with notable clients, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
