HRSA programs provide health care to people who are geographically isolated and economically or medically vulnerable, including programs for people with HIV, pregnant women and mothers, low-income residents, rural residents, American Indians and Alaska Natives, and others unable to access high-quality care. HRSA also supports health infrastructure through training health professionals and advancing telehealth, provides financial support to health care providers, and oversees programs for discounted prescription drugs for safety net providers, among other activities.
