Human Rights Campaign

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is the largest nonpartisan organization in the United States advocating for equality based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. HRC aims to ensure that LGBTQ+ individuals experience full equality through various initiatives, including lobbying, grassroots mobilization, political investments, and education. HRC engages in lobbying efforts to influence Congress on issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity. The organization mobilizes communities nationwide, focusing on empowering marginalized groups and registering voters. HRC also enhances public understanding of LGBTQ+ issues through education and communication strategies, producing reports that assess workplace equality and other relevant topics. The organization works alongside the HRC Foundation to build coalitions and support pro-equality candidates in elections.
