Easterseals

Easterseals is a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and adults with disabilities, veterans, military families, seniors, and caregivers. Founded in 1919, it has evolved from its origins as the National Society for Crippled Children to a network of approximately 70-74 independent affiliates across the U.S. Each affiliate tailors its programs to meet local needs while promoting inclusion and community integration. Easterseals offers a variety of services, including early intervention, education, employment preparation, child care, and recreational camps. Its programs emphasize support for independent living and community engagement, with specialized initiatives for veterans and caregivers. The organization is also known for its fundraising efforts, including the sale of Easter Seals, colorful adhesive seals, and Easterseals Blankets featuring artist designs. Through its extensive reach, Easterseals serves millions, making a significant impact in local communities.
