Ministry of Defence, Federal Republic of Nigeria

It is responsible for overseeing and providing administrative and support services to the Nigerian Armed Forces, which includes the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The ministry operates under a dual civilian and military structure, led by the Honourable Minister of Defence, who reports directly to the President. The MOD comprises various departments that handle human resources, finance, planning, legal services, and public relations, among others. It also includes military components such as the Defence Headquarters and the individual branches of the Armed Forces. The ministry plays a crucial role in coordinating defence policy, training, operations, and logistics, ensuring effective collaboration among the services.
