Colorado State University

Colorado State University (CSU) is a public land-grant research university located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Established in 1870 as the Colorado Agricultural College, CSU has evolved significantly over the years. It became Colorado State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts in 1935 and adopted its current name in 1957, reflecting a broader academic focus. CSU offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs across various disciplines, including health and human sciences, science, and liberal arts. The university is recognized for its leadership in research, particularly in fields such as veterinary medicine, atmospheric science, sustainable energy, agricultural sciences, and infectious disease research. CSU has held Carnegie Foundation Research I University status since 1976 and actively contributes to discussions on climate change and public health. The university is part of the Colorado State University System, which includes multiple campuses and initiatives, such as CSU Global, the first fully online public university in the nation.
